Their experience and knowledge about the senior care field can usually alleviate stress and save consumers time (and sometimes money) in locating available and appropriate resources for their loved ones.

Senior Care Advisors can have different backgrounds, sometimes in nursing or social work. In Maine, Senior Care Advisors might also be referred to as Elder Care Advisors, Case Managers or Geriatric Care Managers. There is a licensing organization for Geriatric Care Managers, and only licensed people may refer to themselves as licensed or certified Geriatric Care Managers.
